Sotto Sotto has been one of Atlanta’s finest dining destinations for over 15 years. Dishes here are firmly rooted in centuries of Italian tradition – from tortelli di Michelangelo, a 15th century dish of plump ravioli stuffed with veal, chicken and pork in a silky butter-and-sage sauce, to the simple, traditional appeal of seasonal favorites like risotto al basilica, made with carnaroli rice, marinated heirloom tomatoes and summer basil. Fresh, whole fish filleted tableside, as well as the kitchen’s handmade pasta, are all part of this enduring restaurant’s allure. Opened in 2000, Fritti is situated in a re-fashioned garage in Atlanta’s historic Inman Park, and offers guests a chance to taste the art of truly casual Italian dining. A wood-burning oven creates Fritti’s signature, soft pillowy pizzas’ crust, characteristically blistered by the intense heat of the oven. Simply prepared, Fritti’s artisanal pizzas, salads and appetizers offer guests a taste of authentic Italian dining. A comprehensive list of affordable Italian wines is a perfect complement to the menu. Fritti’s spacious, open-air patio allows guests the chance to enjoy al fresco dining, with an upper level, loft-style private dining room that seats 35.

With restaurateur Riccardo Ullio’s third Italian concept, he introduces a whole new way to eat Italian. At Novo Cucina, Italian culinary tradition marries innovative casual dining, making eating out fun, easy and enjoyable. This inviting concept, Ullio’s first in Dunwoody, offers the finest of what Ullio’s successful Inman Park concepts, Fritti and Sotto Sotto, have given diners for over 15 years: artisanal pizza, classic pastas, salads and alluring appetizers such as funghi fritti and arancini, as well as 18 flavors of freshly spun gelato daily. Diners can feel free to taste wines from the Enomatic wine dispenser, explore the gelato counter or enjoy sitting in the spacious, open-air sunroom while relaxing in the modern vibe of the restaurant’s atmosphere. Novo’s culinary team, led by Ullio, consists of Neapolitan pizzaiolo Patrizio Alaia and former AJC dining critic Meridith Ford as gelataia.
